Botox Injections

Botulinum toxin has been frequently used to treat such conditions of severe muscle spasticity, such as spasmodic torticollis. It has proven useful in treating myofascial pain, when extended relief is not obtained from simple trigger point injections. A dose of 100 units injected into a muscle body, with persistent relaxation seen for up to six months duration. Significant muscle weakness is usually not noted with these doses.
